Since almost all the 13 units have existing native trees, we have tried to retain all these. Also we have planted 1500+ trees in all the sites as part of creating industrial green zones.
These added texture and defined boundaries within the large lawn area at the site. Using flowering or evergreen varieties for year-round interest provides a easily manageable and aethetic appeal.
We have used Ground covers like to cover large open spaces in many AIW plants. Since most sites are industrial locations we needed hardy ground covers instead of delicate shrubs or even manicured lawn beds as it requires maintenance and is easily affected by influx of factory workers walking around. These also help to prevent soil erosion and fill gaps.
